Post: New Product Development Head - NPD (Head).

The primary role and responsibilities of New Product Development Head - NPD (Head) include:

  • As head of new product development, you will be responsible for driving vision, design strategy, and implementation of the current products as well as a new product to support business.
  • Responsible for leading the engineering department, including planning, management, execution, and support of current /new product inclusive of the day-to-day product management, scope management, issue, and risk management as well as regular status reporting.
  • Involve the technical team from the Manufacturing, Design & Engineering Department, and any other stakeholders to know the customer requirements.
  • Providing technical support to the business development, and design teams.
  • Lead the preparation of technical documentation and analysis of work with marketing department on product development, market opportunities, and trends Coordinate with manufacturing & Quality to ensure the manufacture of the product while maintaining quality, safety, and environmental standards and achieving cost targets in a timely fashion.
  • Report on engineering activities on a regular basis to the senior management team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant key performance indicators.
  • Responsible to execute product development via the production team.
  • Responsible for monitoring of product development phase.
  • Responsible for timely delivery of projects.
  • Working, validation & verification of design calculation, analyzing, feasibility study for new conceptual designs.
  • Coordinating with planning dept., manufacturing dept. along with quality dept. to achieve the targeted new product development.
  • Managing overall development-related operations and ensuring timely accomplishment of efficiency and productivity targets.
  • Minimizing performance bottlenecks for higher productivity by maximizing men, material, and machine.
  • Managing all NPD, manufacturing/operations, and commercial activities to ensure that profits, revenues, quality targets are met timely.
  • Shall be responsible for ensuring the product certification & maintaining the compliance certification.
  • Checking of Safety procedure at manufacturing set-up.
  • Preparation of manpower as per planning.
  • Skill mapping of manpower with respect to the operation.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing staff on the use of all equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensures equipment operation ready by Maintenance cycle; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Line balancing to meet and handle customer requirements and fluctuations in terms of manpower and resources.
  • To maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production reports with all relevant data and presenting to top management.
  • Define pack and cell requirements, and find the best options for product volume, weight and run time requirements.
  • Develop test and validation plans for manufacturing and characterizing battery packs.
  • Work with safety, reliability, operations, and other cross-functional partners to integrate the battery into the final system.


    Desired Candidate Profile :

  • Degree/Master in Electrical or Electronics engineering.
  • Total 3-6 years of experience in managing design and development / Battery management in EV or energy Storage, solar batteries.
  • Hands-on experience in managing manufacturing and testing process of lithium-ion battery packs.
  • The candidate should have experience in managing & leading a team.
  • Knowledge of various Li-ion cell chemistry .
  • Experience with battery protection modules and safety standards.
  • Experience in battery pack interconnection design, thermal management, and safety.
  • Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes and/or automation is highly desirable.
  • Experience with the full life cycle of product development processes.

    • The R&D PCB design engineer develops, builds, and optimizes PCBs for battery management systems, battery chargers, and other related technologies from start to finish.
    This includes writing specifications, designing schematics, developing PCB, building a prototype, and finalizing the BOM for new developments as well as carrying modifications in existing designs as per business requirements.

    Post: BMS Engineer (Research & Development).

    The primary role and responsibilities of a BMS Engineer (Research & Development) include:
